Scripture:
For the Lord your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, the awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe. Deuteronomy 10:17 AMP
God's attributes reads like a Hall of Fame poster. It sounds like the announcement by a Ring Master of a fearful and strong fighter. His attributes would shame any social influencer; those who use fake titles and fake memes to gather more followers. God's attributes puts all politicians to shame. We see that God does not have a price; he cannot be bought or silenced by money, position or power. He has it all and needs no one. In fact, He is in a class all by himself. In our day and age, it's rare to hear someone not taking or accepting a bribe; few people. But who would want to bribe God you may ask and how? You and I can try, except God sees right through us. Do you remember that time when we desperately needed a miracle, an answer to something and we told God, "if you do this for me, I'll change my ways; I'll follow you diligently". That's a bribe. Or, while we wait for an answer to a prayer, we begin to act like angels on earth. That's another form of bribery. On the other hand, since God is impartial, whatever he's done for one, he can do for the other. If he didn't spare Sodom and Gomorrah, he won't spare our generation. If he blessed Jabez and changed his social status, then he can bless us too. Whatever God has done before, for one person or group of people, or even for a nation, he can replicate it for us too.
Let's pray: Father, we have seen and read about the many amazing things you did for humans just like us. Do it one more time for us God. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
