Scripture:

May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness and patience of Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:5 AMP

There is the tendency to call February the month of love because of Valentine's Day. Some people see it as a month to give or spend on their loved ones. Yet others believe it's a period to appreciate their significant other. There are so many events, adverts, vibrant colours and a general undercurrent of being carried along on the river of love. That's when you realize that everyone loves love. What happens after the Valentine's Day though? Is love forgotten or lost? Is love resigned to only one day? In comparison, God's love is a daily affair. It never fades. We may be dazzled by the world's display of lust and emotion, yet true love, God's love, is always within reach and it never fails. May the Lord direct us and our hearts into the steadfast love of God. The love that is always available irrespective of who or what we are. The love that makes a man carry a heavy wooden cross all the way to Calvary for us. The love that grows stronger each and every day. The love that has no limits. The love that surpasses all understanding. The love that is patient and kind. Spoiler alert: all these so-called loved up folks, are taking their love cues from God. They are learning how to love like God. God is the ultimate lover, walk into his arms and give your heart to him. You will never regret it.

Let’s pray: I give my heart to you Lord. Make me yours, come and dwell in my heart and change my life. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen
