Scripture:
O sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous and wonderful things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained victory for Him. Psalm 98:1 AMP
What praise do you have for God today? Has God done anything that deserves praise and adoration? Then sing a joyful song; make a joyful noise; sing a new song of praise to our God and King? In fact, we don't need to have a reason before praising God. We don't need to wait until we receive all the answers to our prayers before we praise him. We don't need a special ocassion before we make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Each day, is a miracle in itself that should make us burst into songs of praise. Each second we live and breathe, is enough reason to be joyful and thankful to the giver of life. What praise do you have for God today? Forget about being tone deaf or being unable to carry a tune. God's music scores makes every sound beautiful. Just lift up your voice and make a beautiful sound unto the Lord. He deserves all of our praise. We will agree with the Psalmist that indeed God has done wondrous things for us. He has delivered us from all evil. He has supplied our wants and needs. He has fought those who fought us. And he has silenced our mockers. Let's bestow praise on this Mighty God for doing well by us. May we sing joyfully to him and may our joy birth new opportunities for more joyful sounds.
Let's pray: In our own way and with our own voice, we return your praise and adoration in songs of joy and wonder. Accept us and our songs of joy. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
