The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. Mathew 11;5 KJV.
Can you imagine how life would be if we didn't have Jesus Christ? We would be hopeless, living in despair. But our God defies all odds against us and gives us new beginnings, hope and a brighter future. When he spoke through Isaiah that he had good plans for us, he knew what he is about. He has very good plans for us. Throughout his ministry, Jesus touched and changed lives, he restored the broken heart, he physically healed the sick and ailing and he can do the same for us. Because of the power in his name, we too can express power and a change in our circumstances. Because of Jesus, the odds stacked up against us can be dashed. Because of Jesus Christ, we can face today and tomorrow head high. Through his words, he encouraged John. Through those same words he's encouraging someone today, it could be you, it could be me. He's telling us he's doing the impossible. He's doing those things men said cannot be done. He's giving out new opportunities. He's blessing us. He's defying all odds and causing us to break through. Will you be convinced like John was?
