Scripture:
When they began singing and praising, the Lord set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; so they were struck down [in defeat]. 2 Chronicles 20:22 AMP

The Word of God, tells us that the only thing God can't do for himself, is to praise himself. It would be bragging on steroids if God himself went about singing his own praises. That's why he's given that to assignment to us; to you, to me. Can you imagine the enormity of praising God? It's not so simple an assignment to be trifled with. That's because each time we praise God, we elevate him even higher. We speak of his goodness and we showcase his power. To praise God, is to do a deep dive into who he is, to recount his deeds, his love his power and his sovereignty. In Royal courts, before a King or Queen appears, the court singer will announce them making mention of the lands they hold sway over, their numerous titles, and then they mention the many battles they've won and how they subdued their enemies in terrible wars. In our part of the world, some of these stories are fabricated, made up to make them look more powerful than they really are. But not with God. Everything doable has been done by this God. If we want him to appear in the tapestry of our lives, then we have to weave in his praises. We have to worship God massively. To abandon ourselves in his praise. To bring him up from his throne into our atmosphere of praise. And when he appears, he will release his power and fragrance over every area of our lives.

Let’s pray: When we raise our praises to you Jehovah, release your blessings upon us. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
