Scripture:
'Behold, the days are coming', says the Lord, 'when I will fulfill the good word and promise which I have made regarding the house of Israel and the house of Judah'. Jeremiah 33:14 AMP
If you met the Head of State, and he or she promised you a car, an international assignment, or something big you've been dreaming about, what would your reaction be? You would be ecstatic, expectant, joyful and eager to receive whatever has been promised. It might take days, even weeks to receive the item, but you don't give up hope because you're relying on the integrity of the Head of State to honour his word. Can I just say that God is greater than any Head of State or President? That God is richer than the richest billionaire on earth? And that his integrity and ability are unquestionable. God, speaking above in our scripture is telling us that whatever he has said to you and to me, he's about to make it good. There's going to be a fulfilment and a physical manifestation of his promises to us. He said "he will fulfill the good word he has spoken" over us. Hallelujah! What's your reaction? Are you ecstatic, expectant or are you wondering how that will be? You are trusting the word of man more than the word of God. The days of fulfilment are near and it will be done according to our expectations, according to our beliefs that God can do more than we think. The days of fulfilment are here; may we not become stumbling blocks to ourselves. Our God is a promise keeper; what he's said he will do, he will do.
Let's pray: Father, help our unbelief. Change our perceptions of who you are and what you can do. May we receive pleasant surprises from you as we trust you each day. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
