Scripture:
And He said to them, "This is My blood of the [new] covenant, [My blood] which is being poured out for many [for the forgiveness of sins]. Mark 14:24 AMP
Blood is vital to survival. Have you not heard about people who were dying and a pint of blood revived them? See what human blood can do for another human being! Now ask yourself, if human blood can bring back life, then the blood of Jesus Christ should do more than that. The blood of Jesus Christ is first of all, pure and untainted; it has no pollutants or diseases as contained in some human blood. The blood of Jesus Christ is powerful; it stops death in its tracks. Remember the angel of death in Egypt? We know that Christ is our Passover Lamb. So his blood upon us stops death. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses like no power bleach can ever manage to clean; the blood of Jesus Christ speaks on our behalf, it heals and gives life, it strengthens, it washes away our sins and does many more amazing things. But importantly, it affiliates us with the Father. As children of God, we trace our bloodline to heaven. The blood in Jesus Christ was from God the Father. If the blood of Jesus Christ flows in us, through our acceptance of Jesus, then we also are carriers of heavenly blood. Now ask yourself, why am I carrying the blood of God the Father and acting like a 'chicken beaten by rain' on earth? That's because we don't know the power we carry about. May the blood of Jesus Christ speak for us always but more so may we begin to draw upon the power deposited in us.
Let's pray: Father, may we begin to realize the mighty power in the blood of Jesus Christ. May we begin to do wonders because we are carriers of this blood. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
