Scripture:
Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8 AMP
Would you go if God were to send you? Would you volunteer yourself if God were to ask for help? Would you allow yourself to be used by God for his kingdom? Heavy questions that should test our integrity and love for God. But can we answer God's request? Can we pray for God to use us or send us? A dangerous prayer to pray, by anyone if we're not ready to move out of our comfort zones, because this is one prayer that will focus all of heaven's attention on us. But it's a prayer of maturity and service, a prayer that shows us that we're ready to reciprocate the love of God in our lives. Most often, at the end of the year, we look back to see what we were able to accomplish in our lives. To assess the prayers answered by God. The things God has done in our lives, the miracles, signs and wonders, we've received from his goodness. That's always good and a sign that God loves us. What if at the end of the year, we did a proper check on how well we had helped to propagate the gospel and to win more souls? What if, instead of always asking and making requests and demands on God, we also gave something back to God? What if we made our prayer requests for God to use us? The question still remains: "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Will we go for God?
Let's pray: I am here Lord, use me. Send me. Empower me to spread your love to all men. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen
