Scripture:
For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised. Hebrews 10:36 AMP

Please read the scripture above again. Slowly and digest it fully. We are being told to endure without compromising, without selling our birthright for pittance, without cutting corners to make it, without borrowing from the devil. We're being asked to be pliant like bamboo, to bear all things without breaking because the end is in sight. Like we often say "this too shall pass". The key word here is *patient endurance*. Some people go through a waiting period grouching, grumpy, complaining and generally being unbearable. What Paul is asking us to do and to realize is that, there's an expiry date to that issue; therefore while it is ongoing we can be patient knowing it's end is evident. Christ went through that shameful process to get his glory, honour and position back. Imagine if on the way to Calvary he had been whining or murmuring about how unfair life was. He had every reason to complain but he didn't. Why? Because he knew the end. We might not know the end result or see how it will pan out, but we have a God who does. He has told us categorically that no one who believes in him will be disgraced or put to shame. He has said it. Who's word will you believe? That of the devil who's telling you this is too much for one person, therefore cut corners, compromise because God cannot see? Or, our faithful God who is with you and will ensure it doesn't go beyond your capacity to bear it? The choice is entirely ours. But let's be careful not to compromise. Not to sell our birthright for fake alternatives. Let's tell that challenge, *I know your expiry date is close*. May we endure with patience knowing the end is truly in sight.

Let's pray: Rebuke the devourer and the liar for our sakes Jehovah God. Strengthen us and breakthrough for us. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
