Scripture:

He let's me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters. He refreshes and restores my soul (life). Psalm 23:2-3a AMP

How do you think our lives would be or look like if we allowed God to lead. I mean, if we truly allowed God to lead. We pretend to leave everything at his feet; we even say it "God I'm leaving this to you". But you know what we do? We pick it up almost immediately and continue worrying and being troubled about the very same thing we claim to have handed over to God. We walk purposefully in life, in accordance with God's plan only when we allow God to lead. He knows the way. It might be long but he will ensure they are peaceful paths. It may be winding but that's because he doesn't want us to be scared and frightened by the terrors waiting to ambush us on the shorter paths. It may look like we've lost control but he's completely in charge. And during this time that we're following his lead, our lives will turn out better. Do you want to know why? When we walk in his ways, we'll learn from him, we'll be more like him, we will get to know him. He will provide refreshments along the way and he will definitely fight anyone who tries to interrupt his plans for us. God is a God of comfort. Not only does he provide comfort but he comforts our very souls. He provides all round well-being when we learn to trust in him. May we truly abandon ourselves onto God, and while we're in that state may we truly allow him to lead. He knows the way and he knows the plan. Don't fret. Don't panic. He will guide us in safety.

Let's pray: Teach us how to let go. Teach us to look only upon you. Teach us how to trust confidently in you Father. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
