Joy

Scripture:
Sing aloud to God our strength; shout for joy to the God of Jacob (Israel). Psalm 80:1 AMP

Did you know that there's nothing like waiting for joy before being joyful? We pray asking for our joy to be full; but that means we already have some amount of joy and it needs topping up. Imagine walking around with a canister of joy and not even knowing we possess it. We're looking for joy in the wrong places and asking for more joy when we haven't touched what we already have. All we need to do is to activate our joy spirit, our joy-mode. Did you just say you don't have anything to be joyful about? But you do - more than you know. And that's the lie we've bought into, from the devil's shop. Who told you, you need to have everything from A to Z before being joyful? Have you not seen people with absolutely nothing living in peace and joy? And even giving from their nothing to others? There's a pot of golden joy in each of us waiting to be activated. Some of us haven't used the joy we were given from birth! We're yet to tap into this wonderful free gift from God. This is the time to experience joy by using it. Sing. Praise. Shout out to God. Raise a song in gratitude. Confess right. Tap into the unused reserves and show the world how joyful you are. We cannot have God and not have joy.

Let's pray: Fill us to overflowing with the joy that comes from you and your Kingdom Jehovah. We ask and pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
