Scripture:

I will give thanks and praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart; and will glorify Your name forevermore. Psalm 86:12 AMP

Have you said thank you to God this morning? Not the hasty one second, whispered 'thank you', we normally pull out and then start our harried day. Have you said a proper thank you to God for this day? For the week just ended? For being alive? Let me paint a picture that will send you back on your knees to thank God for today and the gift of life. Imagine God stepping down in love every morning, tapping you on the cheek and saying: "my child wake up". What if God decides that today is the day he'll leave you to over sleep? But thank God that he didn't. That's why with the Psalmist we too can offer God our heartfelt thanks. Remember God has given us more than life. Let's walk down memory lane and see how far God has moved us. Remember those times we couldn't afford certain basic things but now we can. Our food choices have changed; we can even afford takeout. We have material goods we never thought we could afford. Life has been good all because the Life Owner remembers us. Let's take some time to thank God from the bottom of our hearts. There's nothing more we can give God than ourselves and our thanksgiving. And if we don't thank God who will? If we don't testify to his goodness who will? We might be going through storms or wilderness places, but he is the God who can turn even the dry desert into a verdant jungle. Let's show some appreciation because this God is too good and he has done a lot for us.

Let's pray: We've returned this morning to say thank you Father. Thank you Lord.
