Scripture:
Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all the things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee. Nehemiah 9:6 KJV
What comes to your mind when you read this verse? How do you see God through this scripture above? The scripture above is a summary of God's creative power and ownership of all of creation. It showcases God's immense power, his authority and his omnipotence. Everything we know as the world; the earth, beneath the earth and what covers or surrounds the world was created by God. It is His. What does this tell us about God and how does this help us as believers? In the middle of the scripture, it is written "thou preservest them all", meaning God keeps and protects everything he has created. In Mathew 6:26 onwards, Jesus speaking shows that God even cares for the birds and plants of the field. Why wouldn't he care for us? We, who are made in his own image? This scripture is an assurance to us that our God is bigger than anything and He has the whole world in his hands, including you and I.
Let's pray: thank you Father for the reassurance that you've got us covered. May everything and anyone who frightens us be removed completely. We ask and pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
