Scripture:
For You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your works; at the works of Your hands I joyfully sing. Psalm 92:4 AMP
Do you know how to sing this church chorus: "He has made me glad, He has made me glad. I will rejoice for He has made me glad". It's a simple yet expressive song about God's goodness and loving kindness in our lives. You can make up your own rhythm to go along with it if you don't know the actual tune. The Bible says we should make a joyful noise unto the Lord. It doesn't matter how we sing it, which tune or melody we use or in what voice timbre. All that matters is that we're singing from our understanding in appreciation of what God has done and will yet do. In fact, if we study the Bible carefully, we should always be making sweet melodies to God. What's stopping us from showing gladness and gratitude to God? Life can't be bigger than God; daily issues can never be bigger than God; a heavy heart cannot be bigger than God. Remember joy comes in the morning. If joy truly comes in the morning, then our morning songs of adoration should be overwhelming God in heaven. I wonder if that's the case? We should begin acting out the scriptures we quote so readily.
Let's pray: Give us a heart that will always praise and adore you. May our hearts be full and may our tongues sing in gladness to your holy name. Amen
