Scripture:
I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth shall have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth shall have [already] been loosed in heaven.  Mathew 18:18 AMP

This verse is a direct quotation from Jesus Christ. Not only is he emphasizing that he is speaking the truth, but he shows how serious and important what he's telling us is. We can even say he is swearing on his honour that what he's telling us is true. If Jesus is telling us that this is a sworn truth, then we can trust that it is indeed the truth. Scripture contains God's countless assurances and unchanging promises to us. He has also given us the power to enforce his words on earth through prayer. Through prayer, we can turn God's promises into reality; through prayer we can live the truth in God's word; through prayer we can enjoy the victory of the cross. Through the power given to us to enforce God's words, we can also turn God's words into our battle cry, our weapons, upon which we can turn things around in our favour. And when we do stand and act in this power, we will see enormous change and experience empowerment in our lives like never before. We have the power, it's time to enforce it through prayer.

Let's pray: Thank you for your words of truth. Today, we declare us children of God that the heavens of good fortune is opened over us in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
