Scripture:
What we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life [the One who existed even before the beginning of the world, Christ]. 1 John 1:1b AMP
Some people discredit God, his miracles and his word; making it appear as if God is a by-product of someone's imagination. At some point in our lives as believers, we've also wondered, if God is really there? And if he can do for us like others say? Maybe you're in the questioning and wondering season right now, trying to make sense of this God, his word and his deeds. Those before us have walked this path before. The disciples, after the death of Jesus, were scared and wondering how could the Son of God, allow mere mortals to capture and kill him? Didn't he say he had power to destroy and raise the temple in three days? Have we spent three years of our lives following a fake? No. God doesn't lie neither is he a scammer. Look at these same timid scaredy cats, preaching the gospel without fear or favour; doing wonders even by their shadow! They had learned to believe that God is who he says he is. Paul, who set out to discredit Jesus, turned out to become the greatest apostle of them all. Why would they go to such lengths if it was a lie? They had learned and experienced God in such a way that beyond all doubts, they knew God and his Christ are the real deal. Stick to God and you'll also find out that he is the real deal.
Let's pray: Father, help our unbelief. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
