Scripture:
I give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His compassion and loving kindness endure forever  Psalm 107:1 AMP

Normally, I hear this phrase: "God has been good to me". Does that mean God has stopped being good? Or since then, nothing good has happened? God is always good and since he's not stopped being good, we can't refer to his goodness in past terms. Even today he is still being good to us, because we're alive and well. Per chance, someone reading this is unwell, know that the healing you're desiring has come because Jesus already healed you. James 1:17 tells us that 'all good and perfect gifts are from the Father above'. That's the level we need to get to; to know and understand that everything we have, will ever be, will attain comes from God's provision and his bounty. As we read through the rest of Psalm 107, the Psalmist mentions the many ways God has been and is being good to us. He delivers, sustains, rescues, heals, uplifts, leads, directs, provides and many more. He hasn't stopped being all of this and more to us. May we never be ungrateful to this God. Let's assess our own lives, hasn't it been grace? In our own way, in our own words, let's give thanks to God for what he's done, what he's doing and what he will yet do in our lives.

Let's pray: Every word of thanks I give you Father God. For your mercy, goodness, presence and power, I say thank you. Amen
