Scripture:
Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. 1 Chronicles 29:11 KJV
The Bible tells us to ascribe greatness to God. Not as if he wasn't great already, but as a reminder of how great God is. Each time we mention God's name or think about God, what should follow is his ultimate power, authority and glory. God is the possessor of heaven and earth; it belongs to him. Everything, including you and I, our assets and everything in-between belongs to him. All power and greatness is his; he's the Head Honcho. All victory belongs to him because he can never lose a battle or a war. In fact, who can fight God? If you were related to someone like this, tell me, how would that change your life? How would you live your life? How grateful would you be to such a relative who is also your guardian and benefactor? Proper thanks. We would live appreciating them daily. Not only that but we would brag; everything that can hear would hear. We would highlight the power backing us and brag about what is available to us. We would be first to any event we know our relative would be present. We would live in such a way that they would be happy with us. God is our nearest and closest kinsman. He is our benefactor and guardian. May we do for God and more, than what we would do for our earthly benefactors.
Let’s pray: my hallelujah belongs to you. All the glory belongs to you my God and my Lord. Amen
