Scripture:
And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

Our belief determines where we'll spend eternity. And our behaviour determines how we will live out that belief.  Our scripture above, provides more insight into how we ought to conduct our lives. It tells us to be "progressively changed as we mature spiritually", meaning we're not changed yet but we should be living and believing in such a way that our transformation is seen. In other words, our belief and faith in God and his Christ should influence our behaviour, influence the very lives we're living. We cannot believe in something and yet not do it or have it change us. We cannot say we believe in bathing, yet we never take a wash or bath ourselves. Our belief should influence our behaviour. We are being asked to move away from this world’s superficial values. Like what? Things that look like they matter, but in reality, they don't, things that don't add value to our Christian walk, those things that trip is up. Did you see what else our transformation can bring us? We can prove and test out what God has for us. We won't only be quoting Jeremiah 29:11 but we should be able to prove that God's will for us is acceptable and good.

Let's pray: Father, please transform me into what you want me to be. Make me, mould me and use me. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen
