And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear [and worship] the Lord your God [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], to walk [that is, to live each and every day] in all His ways and to love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul [your choices, your thoughts, your whole being]. Deuteronomy 10:12 AMP.
Those who don't know about our God or believe in Him, look up to us to show a difference. A different set of morals, a wholesome language, different attitude and character. In effect, we are expected to carry God's name in such a way that anyone who sees us knows who's we are. What does God expect from us? He expects us to be brand Ambassadors of his power, his might and his name. All God requires of us is listed in the verse above. To fear him and to have nothing that would rival his presence in our lives. All God is asking from us is to worship him with abandon. All God is asking of us is to love and serve him wholeheartedly. All God is asking of us is to depend on him totally like our lives depend on him only, and in fact it does. God is asking for you and I to make him our all in all. Is it too much to ask for?
Let's pray: Father, I depend on you. Transform everything about me. Give me the strength and courage to wait only on you. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen
