Everything and everyone fades into insignificance when we understand that God is the creator, owner and Possessor of heaven and earth and everything inside of them. When we finally grasp the immense power our God has and wields, we will be confident and comfortable in his care. We will begin to trust him completely like the father's of faith did. That's because we understand that he who has all power can protect us and defend us from any kind of evil. Psalm 24 tells us that the 'earth is the Lord's and everything inside of it'. If you know someone, who owns all things, wouldn't you ask for help if you needed it? Of course you would. I would ask because I can see the possessions he has right before my eyes. That's how we too, can boldly ask God to supply all our needs. He can supply all of our needs according to his riches in glory. When we understand the true nature and power of God, scripture becomes real to us. It's no longer black and white print but the word of God breathed and penned for us. When we understand the power of God, our prayers have more intent and meaning because we know whom we're praying to. May our eyes and hearts be opened to see God for who he really is.
Let's pray: Father, open our spiritual eyes and touch our hearts to understand and see you as you truly are. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
