Scripture:

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. Psalm 91:1 AMP

A contingent offer is an offer that outlines all the benefits and details of your position yet, it is not validated until certain conditions are met. In effect, it's a partial offer until all dependent factors are fully met. For example: an offer of employment may be contingent on getting good references back or winning a bid proposal. Take a minute to read the verse above again. You will realize that all the great and wonderful promises of protection and blessings are hinged on the first line. It is a contingent offer that can only be validated when we meet the conditions of the first line: He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High. Before the promise of protection is fully executed, before the arrows can fall harmlessly around us, before the noisome pestilences can be silenced, before that harm can bypass our homes; we need to be dwelling securely in the shadow or in the shelter of the Almighty. In other words, living with God like good housemates; enjoying a close and intimate relationship with God. Do we want to enjoy the full benefits of Psalm 91? Then we have to fulfill the dependent factor required of us. May we stay connected to God this year more than ever. May our relationship with God reach a new intimate level so we experience all his many blessings and promises.

Let’s pray: Father, keep me connected. Let your mighty hand be upon me each and every day. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen
