Scripture:
Who is like You among the gods, O Lord? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, awesome in splendour, working wonders? Exodus 15:11 AMP
We will both sing, praise and confess that our God is exceptional. He is the God who does excellently well for his children. We have been young and now by God's grace, we're adding years and maturing gloriously. Yet, in all of our years, we haven't heard that there's another god whose power surpasses that of our God. We're yet to hear of any god who performs miracles so wonderful like our God. We're yet to hear of any god who claims supremacy over our God. We're yet to know a God who loves totally like our God. Not only do the records in the Bible confirm his awesomeness but in our own lives, one way or the other, we've experienced God's touch, miracles and blessings; we've tasted of his power, we've received from his goodness. Even if we don't know God that very well, the little we've experienced on a personal level, confirms that he is indeed a big God. A powerful God. He alone is Sovereign. In a way, it brings hope and relief to know that our God is all powerful. To know that we have an anchor that will not slip or break when the storms come. It brings renewed hope to know our God can and will take care of us. To know our God will never leave us alone; that he is capable. So what shall we do today? And for the rest of our lives? We will sing in honour of this God. We will praise him, thank him, again and again, and worship him like no one's business. Because our life and our hope is found in him.
