Scripture:
What will I give to the Lord [in return] for all His benefits toward me? [How can I repay Him for His precious blessings?]. Psalm 116:12 AMP
There's a story about a man, who went to see his Pastor asking for a refund of all the money he had been giving to the church. Particularly, he was asking for a return of his offerings and tithes, claiming that God hadn't done enough for him. What would you do, if for a few minutes you could be God? Be honest. I know what I would do. I would first cause the ground on which he was standing to open up. After all, the earth is the Lord's and he's been walking and living on what doesn't belong to him, for free. I would stop the wind from blowing. I would make sure that everything around him that he had taken for granted but was enjoying would be removed. That would make him appreciate the intangible blessings and presence of God all around him. How can we repay God for his precious blessings to us? How? The free gift of life. The gift of the world and all it contains. The gift of sleeping and having rest. So many others We can't mention. We cannot repay God for all he does for us. But at least we will not be ungrateful to him. We will continually thank him and ask him for more of his mercy, grace and love over us. May we never show ingratitude to God.
